Weather Forces Another Launch Delay – SpaceX Now Targeting Friday Night

The weather once again caused SpaceX to scrub a launch attempt late last night. Now, they say they are targeting the start of the Memorial Day weekend for what will be a third attempt to get the Falcon 9 rocket off the launch pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. It was set to liftoff sometime during a two-hour window that opened at 11:25pm yesterday, but the decision was made to delay the mission due to weather conditions. The next available two-hour window will open at 11:25pm on Friday. If that happens, we won’t hear any sonic booms this time. That’s because minutes after liftoff, the rocket’s first stage will attempt another successful landing on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean. That landing will mark that particular rocket’s 14th flight.
