A 75-year-old man from West Palm Beach was hit by truck in Sharpes early Wednesday morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was crossing US-1 in an area not marked as a crosswalk, just north of Canaveral Groves Boulevard yesterday just before 5:30am when he walked into the path of a southbound pickup truck driven by a 66-year-old man from Mims. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not hurt. No names have been released.
