SpaceX Batting 500 With Weekend Launch Attempts

One was a go, but the other was a no… On Sunday SpaceX launched one of two Falcon 9 missions that were scheduled just hours apart here on the Space Coast. The first one went up as planned at 8:20am from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. It was the 27th launch of the year from Brevard County, and it took another 22 Starlink Internet Satellites into orbit The first stage booster made a successful landing on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean just minutes after liftoff. The second planned launch however, never happened due to weather conditions in the Atlantic Ocean. That launch has now been re-targeted 11:47am today. It’s a resupply mission carrying cargo to the International Space Station, and it is being launched from Kennedy Space Center’s pad 39A.
