The price of gas in Florida and across much of the nation for that matter, is higher than it has ever been before… and it’s still rising almost daily. As of Monday, the price of a gallon of regular stood at a record $4.49 in Florida… 29 cents more than just one week ago. Just one year ago, gas averaged about $2.89 a gallon here in Florida. As of Monday, the national average for a gallon of regular was $4.48… up 15 cents from just one week ago. Diesel fuel prices are also climbing fast, and that is putting pressure on prices for just about everything we buy now.
