Gulf Disturbance Expected To Bring Rain To Central Florida

It’s June 1st, and that means today is the official start of Hurricane Season, which runs through the end of November. Fittingly enough, we start off this year’s storm season with a tropical wave now in the Gulf of Mexico and it’s expected to bring rain to much of the Florida peninsula as we head into the weekend. The National Hurricane Center is watching an area of low pressure in the gulf that they now say has become Invest 91-L. Chances of it developing into anything to be even concerned about are extremely low right now, and forecasters say the environmental conditions necessary for such development are expected to get more unfavorable by the weekend, but we will likely get some rain out of it. Some parts of Central Florida could see heavy rainfall and gusty winds this weekend.
