Another candidate has announced plans to run for the Brevard County District 2 commissioner seat formerly held by Bryan Lober. Chris Hattaway is a Cocoa Police Officer. Hattaway announced on Monday before a group of about 50 people at Riverfront Park in Cocoa, that he will run for the seat on the Republican ticket. Four others have already announced plans to run for it. The Republican primary is August 23, and the general election is November 8.
