Disturbance In The Atlantic Not Expected To Be A Concern

On THursday, the National Hurricane Center released a special tropical outlook on a nontropical low-pressure system that forecasters say is situated over moderately warm ocean waters, and forming along a front offshore of the southeastern U.S. coast. The National Hurricane Center says the system will continue to develop over the next couple of days, but it is not expected to become “fully tropical.” However, they also say a subtropical storm can’t be entirely ruled out. The chances of that though are slim…. standing at only 10% over the next week or so. Up in the Carolinas though, there are hazardous marine conditions affecting the coastal and offshore waters where gale warnings are in effect.
