It actually ended about five years ago, but the end of an era in Brevard County is now plainly visible. Demolition is now underway on the Harvey’s Groves packing plant and store along US 1 in Rockledge. The landmark building, easily recognized by the huge orange man standing on top of the metal roof, is being torn down to make way for a new business. According to plans filed with the county, the Harvey’s Grove landmark will be replaced by mini-storage units.
