As Temps Rise Again, The Water Is Flowing Again In Much Of The South

While it’s been a lot cooler than what we are accustomed to here in Central Florida… and downright cold over the Christmas holiday weekend, we have been spared the bitter cold that much of the rest of the nation has been dealing with. Now, following days of freezing temperatures in many part of the Deep South that usually experience them only rarely and for only hours, water systems are in trouble as burst pipes are leaking millions of gallons of water. It’s now a problem as the temperatures start to go back up and the water pipes begin to thaw out in places like Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, the Carolinas, and even in some parts of Northern Florida.
