Boaters Rescued

On Tuesday, 2 men and a dog who had been missing for 10 days after setting sail from North Carolina’s Outer Banks, with intentions of sailing to Marathon here in Florida, were rescued by the US Coast Guard after they flagged down a tanker ship about 200 miles off the shores of Delaware. The two men… 65 and 76 years of age… along with a dog… originally left from Cape May, New Jersey on their trip. They had not been heard from after leaving the Outer Banks on December 3. They ran out of fuel, which then caused the boat to run out of power, rendering its radios and navigation equipment inoperable.
