A huge and dangerous blaze on Monday afternoon completely destroyed
Phantom Fireworks on US-192 in West Melbourne after a crash sent an SUV through the front of the building. That crash killed the driver. As firefighters and other first responders arrived on the scene just after 4pm Monday, the fast spreading fire resulted in thousands of fireworks randomly spraying from the property. Fortunately, nobody else was hurt. The Florida Highway Patrol is now investigating the cause of the fatal crash, but so far, they have not released the driver’s name. The more than 5,500 square foot building was formerly a restaurant, and it was built back in 1989. It was totally destroyed.
