Controversy is rising about some proposed mobile showers for the homeless in Sebastian. Dignity Village near the Round House Arcade on US Highway 1, is a motel that provides temporary affordable rentals for those in need, but they claim they are not a homeless camp. Neighbors in that area say they are now upset with Dignity Village after hearing about talks of mobile showers for public use at the Round House Arcade. Some now say they plan to file an official complaint because they don’t want businesses attracting the homeless near their properties. Many say they fear a potential rise in crime.
