Big Snake Killed At Kennedy Space Center

Wild – Non native pythons are nothing out of the ordinary in South Florida, particularly the Everglades… where they are aggressively hunted. But now they are apparently moving north. A worker at the Kennedy Space Center ran over and killed a 10-foot Burmese python on KSC property recently. The snake found here in Brevard County was a ten and a half foot male Burmese Python according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The largest ever found in Florida measured 18 feet. They have no idea how it may have gotten to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge… which contains the Kennedy Space Center.
