Debris Cleanup Nearing Completion

The efforts to collect all the debris left behind after Hurricane Ian are ongoing, but the end is in sight. If you have vegetative debris still piled up along your street, chances are it won’t be there much longer. In the northern part of the county… which by the way was hit a bit harder than some areas by Ian… the work should be finished within another week or so. Two private contractors were hired by the county to speed up the efforts. So far, more than 129,000 cubic yards of debris has been collected according to county officials. If your debris pile has not yet been picked up, you can call the county’s Solid Waste Management Department at 321-633-2042.
