State Road 46 Between Mims And Sanford Closed Due To Flooding

Flooding continues along the St. John’s River, and the high water has cut off a major east-west highway in Northern Brevard County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, State Road 46 between Mims and Sanford is impassable due to the high water that continues to rise following Hurricane Ian. State Roads 192, 520, and 528 remain open, but there are some areas of minor flooding on all three in parts of Orange County. The National Weather Service said Sunday, that the flooding will continue along the St. Johns River basin, although it is expected to begin to subside by Wednesday.
