Artemis Launch Now Set For Saturday

NASA will try again Saturday to launch its new moon rocket on a test flight, after engine trouble halted the first countdown this week. During Monday’s launch attempt, one of the four main engines in the Space Launch System rocket’s core stage could not be chilled sufficiently before launch time. Artemis mission manager Mike Sarafin says engineers have come up with a solution for that…

The forecast though, is only forty percent favorable for the beginning of the 2 hour launch window, which opens Saturday at 2:17PM, but forecasters say they’re optimistic of getting a break from expected thunderstorms sometime during that time.
