A crash on State Road 407 early Monday morning claimed one life. It happened yesterday around 5am on the road that is also known as Challenger Memorial Highway. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Lexus driven by a 28 year old man from Indiatlantic was eastbound when the driver attempted to pass another vehicle… also heading east… in a no-passing zone. The car crashed headon into a westbound charter bus. The driver of the Lexus died in the crash. His name has not been released. There were no passengers on the bus. Two other crashes on that highway yesterday morning also added to the gridlock. Traffic on State Road 528 westbound was backed up after the launch was scrubbed, and was reportedly flowing at the rate of 1 mile per hour at one point.
